There is very little shoe here, and that is the point. A wide bow band sits across the toes, then the foot is left open all the way back to a slim strap at the ankle. From a step away it reads as a band and a strap rather than a shoe, so the ivory never cuts the leg in half the way a closed front does. Under a floor-length hem only the bow shows.
The bow is one wide band folded into flat loops and pulled in by a separate wrapped centre, and its edges pass light rather than block it. A single run of round pearls is set shoulder to shoulder along the outer face of the ankle strap. Fine stitching follows the edge of the footbed, and the heel is a low squared block. Sizes EUR 25 to 36.
