Everything on this pair is beaded except one small thing: the knot at the centre of the bow is a plain silver band, left bare on purpose. It gives the eye somewhere to rest in the middle of all that pearl work, and it marks the centre line of the shoe.
Either side of that knot the bow wings carry the same open grid as the toe, outlined with a row of larger pearls. The ankle strap runs two rows of small beads and fastens at the outer side. The shoe is closed at the toe and the heel and cut away at the arch, on a low heel. Sizes EUR 21 to 36.
Frame the ankle with the bead rows and let the rest of the outfit stay quiet — a party dress, a recital, a wedding.
