The whole shoe closes with one round button pushed through a slot in the strap. No hook and loop, no buckle, and nothing metal anywhere on it - which counts for more on a black shoe than on a pale one, because a metal buckle would be the one bright point catching light and breaking the line of the strap.
Above the button, the strap carries a single row of round pearls. The bow is knotted at the toe in a denser fabric that reads solid rather than sheer, with a heart worked in fine beads at its centre. The toe is broad and round, a line of stitching follows the collar, the lining inside is black like the upper, and the sole underneath is thin and flat. Sizes EUR 22 to 31.
